    昨晚游泳完，我和同學 Pan 在更衣室邊聊天邊穿衣服，旁邊的男士突然問我們 "Are you dating with someone?" 我沒聽到 dating，請他重複一遍(Pan 只聽到 dating，他後來說當時以為後面接 with each other，嚇的不知如何是好。)。

"No." 誠實是我的優點。

"OK. You have to study very very hard..." 他停頓了一下，我心想有道理，但關你屁事。(被他說破了，不大高興)

這下真沒辦法接話，只好問

"What do you mean by that?"

他開始痛苦的回憶。

"Last night, I missed the right moment to kiss a girl again and again in two hours. Then the  girl left angrily."

"I was born in Beijing and came here when I was 8 years old. I learned many things in US. But no one have ever taught me what is the right moment to kiss."

(我也有相同困擾。上次問我同學告白時要講什麼，他說你要先想為什麼要交女朋友? 我講了一兩個，他據實評論。"牽手去逛 Central Park and Grennwich Village 這理由還不夠充分？"，後來不了了之。)

"Where can we learn that? Do you have some textbooks or papers for us to read?" (數學系的只知道這樣學)

"No. You type "the right moment to kiss" in Google."

"Thank you. We really appreciate your advice. It's certainly very helpful."

我們不知道怎麼安慰他。只問了

"Is there still chance between you and her?"

"Not any more."

"Good luck" 然後看著他離去。

我們回研究室後，把這件事跟所有還在的同學講，非常感謝這位先生讓我們有如此特別的經驗。一點同情心都沒有。
